SigmaDelta Wave

SigmaDelta Wave is a solo act of Swedish synth pop artist Magnus Adamsson. Magnus is a programmer by profession with a newfound passion for music production and song writing. Born in the ’70s and raised in the ’80s, he’s heavily inspired by the sound of ’80s pop in general and synth pop in particular. His production seeks to recreate and reinvent the sound of that era. This ambition and affliction inspired his first EP, which got the name Neostalgia from this dichotomy of nostalgia and rebirth.

The latest release is the song Broken Echoes. It’s a melancholy song about obsession and failure to let go of the past.

The follow up to Neostalgia is the single Nostalgesic FizzyPop which was released on the 24th of June. It’s a melancholic song about feeling lost and lonely in a strange town. The lyrics were written while watching the tower cranes against the grey sky of Lyon.

Neostalgia opens with the track Rhythm of ’92, which is a story of the artists first meeting with his now wife. This is followed by Rose-tinted, a song about being in a hurry to discover and realize your aspirations for the future and about stopping to enjoy the now and past. Kids celebrates the joy of exploration and play of childhood. White Wedding should be new to no one. Here it’s served in a synthwave format. Last on the EP is a remix of Rhythm of ’92 by the awesome SkaaRz, an electronic artist from Arizona.
